Why Prime Piece

The difference is
where we start.

🪨
Direct from the quarry
We source stone directly from the same quarries that supply five-star hotels and boutique interior studios worldwide. No NZ wholesaler markup. You get the stone at the real price.
🔍
Quality checked before it ships
Every piece is photographed and inspected before it leaves the factory. If it doesn't meet standard, we reject it and start again. You only receive perfection.
💬
You talk to James, not a call centre
Text 021 146 6990 and James answers. He's been working in stone for years — he'll tell you which basin works for your bathroom, your vanity, your budget. Real advice, fast.
📦
Fully insured door to door
Your basin is packaged professionally in foam and timber crating, shipped freight-insured from factory to your front door. If anything goes wrong in transit, we fix it.
✦
No two pieces are identical
Natural stone means every basin has its own veining, its own character. You're not buying a SKU — you're buying a piece of the earth. That's something a ceramic basin can never be.
💰
Half the price of retail
Competitors charge $1,500–$3,000 for the same stone basins. We charge $650–$2,200. The difference is our model — direct source, no showroom, no fluff. All stone, no margin.

Common Questions

Everything you need
to know.

How long does a made-to-order basin take? +

Typically 3–5 weeks from order confirmation. We source directly from stone quarries and work with our suppliers to cut and finish your basin to order. We'll keep you updated throughout the process.

What stone types are available for basins? +

We currently offer White Carrara marble, Beige Travertine, Nero Marquina, Emerald Green and Ivory Onyx, with Tiger Onyx, Pietra Grey and Pink Onyx arriving September 2026. We also have access to a wide catalog of stones — enquire if you have something specific in mind.

Does a drain come included? +

No — a drain fitting is not included and needs to be purchased separately. You'll need a standard 40mm pop-up waste fitting, available from any bathroom supplier. We recommend using a licensed plumber for installation.

Do you ship stone basins across New Zealand? +

Yes. We ship nationwide and carefully pack all stone basins to prevent damage in transit. Auckland customers can also collect from our Wairau Valley showroom.

How do I clean a natural stone basin? +

Use a pH-neutral cleaner or mild soap with warm water. Avoid bleach, vinegar or abrasive cleaners. Seal the stone every 12 months with a penetrating stone sealer to maintain water resistance and prevent staining.
